LeBron James – NBA Phenom

Sports enthusiast Mason Bird intends to further his education at university with a major in political science and business. Mason Bird lists prominent athletes Clint Dempsey, LeBron James, and Robert Griffin III among his greatest athletic influences.

Basketball superstar and Olympic athlete LeBron James has already been marked as one of the all-time greatest players. Born in 1984 in Ohio, LeBron Raymone James began his athletic career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2004, he won the coveted NBA Rookie of the Year award, making him the youngest player in history to secure the prestigious title. James joined the American Olympic basketball team in 2004 in Athens, 2008 in Beijing, and 2012 in London.

LeBron James’ 20-point average per game in 2003/2004 placed him in the same league as Oscar Robertson and Michael Jordan. James continued to write NBA history in 2005, when he was named the youngest player to gain a score of over 50 points in one game. His most recent contribution to NBA history occurred in January 2013, when at age 28, James was named the youngest player in the history of the NBA to score 20,000 points.
